New Orleans police release video of suspect in Mid-City Smoothie King armed robbery _lowres

A Smoothie King in Mid-City was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday, and New Orleans police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect.

Just before 7 p.m., an armed man entered the Smoothie King at 224 N. Carrollton Ave. and allegedly demanded money from the register, the New Orleans Police Department said in a news release. The suspect took $500 before fleeing the store toward Iberville Street, police said.

Police have released nearby surveillance video of the suspect. He was last seen wearing a white and black polo shirt, black pants and a blue messenger bag.
