Man shot to death Monday morning in New Orleans East _lowres

Orleans Parish Coroner Dr. Jeffrey Rouse took to Twitter on Thursday night, expressing outrage and frustration after a string of shootings earlier in the day.

According to reports, as Rouse pointed out, there were four shootings in New Orleans between about 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Add to that a double shooting in Harvey later in the night.

In total, five shootings in about eight hours that killed three people and injured seven.

Here's a rundown of what we know about each incident:

Around 4 p.m.: A 22-year-old man was shot while working on a home in Mid-City on North Salcedo Street, near the intersection of St. Peter Street. The New Orleans Police Department initially reported the victim died but later clarified he was rushed into surgery in critical condition.
**Update, 9:40 a.m. Friday: NOPD said the man has died.

Sometime after 5 p.m.: A 34-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed in the 3900 block of Hollygrove Street.

Around 8:15 p.m.: Two people -- a man and a woman - were shot in Central City near the intersection of Fourth Street and LaSalle Avenue. The man was later pronounced dead. The woman was listed in critical condition.

Around 9:30 p.m.: A 21-year-old woman sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the thigh near the intersection of Thalia and South Saratoga Street.

Time unknown: A man and a woman were shot in Harvey. No details on their conditions were provided.
