New Orleans police are looking for a man dressed as Beetlejuice who might be able to help them identify two men wanted in connection with a recent beating in the French Quarter.
The attack happened Nov. 1 at Orleans and Burgundy streets.
About 1 a.m. the 29- and 37-year-old victims were at the corner when the men walked up and asked if they could use one victim’s cellphone.
The victims declined, and the men began to follow them, at which point both victims were knocked unconscious.
One of the victims woke up to find a man dressed as Beetlejuice standing over him saying that everything would be OK and that help was on the way, police said.
The 29-year-old victim had a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma, a collection of blood on the surface of the brain.
The 37-year-old victim suffered a cut to the left side of his face that required nine stitches, and a cut to the back of the head that required two staples.
One of the unknown men is described as white, about 5-foot-5 with a medium build and with wavy hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
