Alan Gauthreaux and Daryl Hippensteel will discuss their new book, “Dark Bayou: Infamous Louisiana Homicides,” when the Algiers Historical Society meets from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the first-floor meeting room of the Algiers Regional Library, 3104 Holiday Drive, New Orleans.
Hippensteel is an assistant professor of criminal justice at Delgado Community College, and Gauthreaux is a freelance writer. Don Costello is president of the Algiers Historical Society, which meets the third Saturday of each month, except December. Its meetings are free and open to the public.
