Find out what’s new on the home front this weekend at the New Orleans Home & Garden Show, from house safety to art workshops to trendy new products.

Taking the theme “The Fit Home,” a healthy lifestyle pavilion will feature experts from Touro, West Jefferson Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and University Medical Center for health screenings. People also can look at preliminary flood maps for Jefferson Parish, and there will be information on aging in place. Activities include play sets for kids, obedience training for pets and an energy IQ scavenger hunt.

The largest consumer home show in the Southeast, sponsored by The Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans, is back in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
