With messages like "FINALLY" and "DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO MISS TULANE" on their mortarboards the sentiment is clear, students will have mixed emotions at the 2015 Tulane University Commencement ceremony on Saturday.
Tulane put some of the most interesting mortarboards on its website.
Libby Banagale, a 61-year-old woman from Biloxi, Miss. who will get her degree in Health and Wellness, told the website she wrote “FINALLY” on her mortarboard because “I finally earned my degree. My kids are flying in from Nebraska and North Dakota to celebrate with me. They are all college graduates!”
Melissa Reitcheck, a who will get degrees in Political Economy, Economics and Liguistics, asked the question “DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO MISS TULANE” on her mortarboard because “I will be moving away after graduation, so this bit of nostalgia was important to me.”
