Girl Scouts Louisiana East honored its adult volunteers recently at its annual meeting, with special recognition going to volunteers Becky Kraus, Gretna; Julie LeBlanc, New Orleans; Paulette Mauterer, River Ridge; Joan Mollohan, Kenner, Laura Rogan, New Orleans; Gloria St. Pierre, Metairie; Toni Potts, Harvey; and Nell Toomer, Gretna.

Rogan was the recipient of the Honor Pin, which recognizes an individual whose commitment, leadership, and service have had an exceptional impact on meeting the goals of the council and the Girl Scout movement. Rogan has served as a delegate to the Girl Scouts’ national convention, as a council facilitator and is on multiple volunteer committees at the council level, as well as heading the Adventure Girls group.

Kraus, Potts, and Toomer each received the Volunteer of Excellence award. In Gretna, Kraus has worked as coordinator of product sales, and Toomer has ensured that many girls attending public schools have access to Girl Scouts. In Harvey, Potts has taken on many roles at the troop and service unit levels during her two years as a Girl Scout volunteer.

Mollohan, who serves on the council’s board of directors as first vice chair, and board Secretary LeBlanc each received a Years of Service pin for 25 years of volunteer service. Mauterer and St. Pierre were recognized for 30 years of volunteer service.
