Man fatally shot Friday night in Harvey
A man was shot to death Friday night in Harvey, according to Col. John Fortunato, a spokesman for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Fortunato said deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Inca Drive about 8:55 p.m. There, they found a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fortunato said several shell casings were found near the body.
A man was injured in a separate shooting incident in Harvey a few hours later.
That shooting happened about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Tallow Tree Lane, according to records from Jefferson Parish 911 headquarters. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening

Man shot in N.O. East on Saturday
A man was seriously injured in a shooting in New Orleans East early Saturday morning, according to Officer Frank Robertson, a spokesman for the Police Department.
Robertson said a 43-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 12100 block of the Interstate 10 Service Road about 2:30 a.m. The man was shot inside an apartment.
Robertson said the man was transported to a hospital in critical condition. No further information was available.
Man shot Friday evening in Marrero
A man was injured in a shooting Friday evening in Marrero, according to records from Jefferson Parish 911 headquarters.
The shooting occurred about 7:15 p.m. at Ames Boulevard and Mount Kennedy Drive.
The man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
