Big Chief Theodore “Bo” Dollis, who led the Wild Magnolias tribe of Mardi Gras Indians for decades, has died. He was 70.

His death was announced by the Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame. A memorial gathering of the city’s Mardi Gras Indian Nation will converge at Second and Dryades Streets Tuesday, January 20 at 7 pm to sing the traditonal prayer/hymn “Indian Red.”
