A 36-year-old man was stabbed in the French Quarter Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The man was walking near the intersection of St. Louis Street and Dauphine Street just before 2 p.m. when he was approached by another man, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log.
