In Thibodaux, the Fourth of July will be celebrated with the Let Freedom Ring Festival in Peltier Park, 151 Peltier Park Drive. Sponsors of the event are the city of Thibodaux, the Lorio Foundation and the Veterans of Vietnam War Inc. Louisiana Post No. 4.

A patriotic ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. and an auction from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Music from Treater starts at noon and 2:30 p.m., and performances by the Louisiana Roadhouse Band begin at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The day will conclude with fireworks at 9 p.m.

There will be a military display, patriotic gifts for children, a water slide, a train ride and a bounce house. Admission is free. No vehicles will be allowed in the park after 10:30 a.m. Parking will be available on Bayou Lane and at E.D. White High School and Nicholls State University.

Concessions will be available for purchase, but picnics are welcome. No glass containers in the park.
