Members of St. Elizabeth’s Guild volunteered their service in support of the recent Youth Transitional Conference sponsored by the Independent Living Skills Program of Catholic Charities.
ILSP teaches life skills to young people who are making the transition from foster care to independent adult living.
At the conference, volunteers coached young people from across the state on how to be well-informed, productive members of the community. Speakers included Norman Robinson, of WDSU, and former New Orleans Saint Buford Jordan.
St. Elizabeth’s Guild supports three programs of Catholic Charities: ILSP, Padua Pediatrics and St. John the Baptist Head Start. For information on ILSP, visit www.ccano.org.
