A 31-year-old man was injured in a shooting early Monday in the 1800 block of Burgundy Street, police said.
The victim was approached around 4:15 a.m. by two men who asked to use his phone, according to a New Orleans Police Department news release. Police said the man pushed the victim, who then pepper-sprayed the man. Another suspect then brought out a gun and shot the victim, authorities said.
The unidentified man’s condition was not immediately available.
