Gunfire kills man in eastern New Orleans

A man was found shot to death early Saturday morning in the driver’s seat of a 2010 Honda Civic in the 7200 block of Willowbrae Drive in eastern New Orleans.

He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Police found the man about 12:20 a.m.

One dead, three shot in Treme-Lafitte area

One of four young men shot from inside a car about 2:20 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Gov. Nicholls Street, near North Johnson Street, died later that day at a hospital. He was 17. The other victims were 15, 19 and 21. The 17-year-old was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Detectives believe the vehicle used in the shooting is a red Nissan Versa with dark tinted windows. The vehicle is missing the housing on one of its side mirrors, most likely the passenger side. The vehicle has an unknown out-of-state license plate.

29-year-old robbed, then shot in 7th Ward

A 29-year-old man was shot about 2:15 p.m. Friday near North Roman and Laharpe streets in the 7th Ward.

The man said two men approached him. One produced a gun and demanded money from the victim, who complied but was shot anyway. Police said his wounds were not life-threatening.

Two shot Saturday on Bienville Street

Two men, ages 29 and 32, were shot Saturday afternoon in the 3000 block of Bienville Street, near the headquarters of the Regional Transit Authority. Neither sustained life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police reported the shooting occurred about 3:20 p.m.

Police said they were seeking a person of interest who may be driving a red 2015 Hyundai Sonata with Louisiana license plate N374376.

JPSO reports stabbing, gas station robbery

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following crimes early Saturday:

A man was stabbed in the 300 block of Westmeade Drive in Gretna. The wound was not life-threatening. The incident was reported about 2 a.m.

A Shell station in the 5900 block of West Metairie Avenue was robbed. No one was injured. The robbery was reported about 6 a.m.
