SELF-COMPASSION: Roberta Bondi, an emeritus professor of church history from Emory University, will present a workshop on “Self-Compassion: The Enneagram as a Contemplative Tool for Transformation” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 5875 Canal Blvd., New Orleans. The fee is $25 for Friday only, $50 for Saturday only, or $75 for the full workshop.

The Enneagram is a model of human personality that defines nine interconnected personality types: reformer, helper, achiever, individualist, investigator, loyalist, enthusiast, challenger and peacemaker.
