The Gretna Heritage Festival will take place Oct. 3-5 in downtown Gretna, with seven stages and more than 50 bands, including the Funky Meters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Cherub, the Gregg Allman band, Phosphorescent, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, The Guess Who, Big Smo and DJ Wick-IT the Instigator.

The festival will feature the German Beer Garden and the Italian Village, which will present musical performances by Lena Prima, the Louisiana Spice Band, Carlo Ditta and The Wiseguys.

There will be rides and games, with a pay-one-price offer on Friday and Sunday. There will be a free shuttle with free parking from Oakwood Shopping Center. Free parking is also available at Third and Derbigny streets.

Admission is $20 per day or $47.50 for a weekend pass when purchased in advance on Ticketmaster. Single-day tickets will be available at the gate for $25. Children 12 and under are admitted free. For information, call (504) 361-7748 or visit www.gretna fest.com.
