A 24-year-old Metairie woman was followed by alleged carjackers on her way home Monday night, according to reports.
The woman was driving on Palmetto Street in a 2011 silver Toyota Camry around 11:30 p.m. when a white SUV pulled up behind her and bumped her vehicle, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office told WWL-TV. She continued toward the 17th Street Canal, where the SUV again tapped the rear of her bumper, Col. John Fortunato said.
She kept driving, and when she arrived at a friend’s house on Hector Avenue, a man and woman approached her, WWL reported.
The woman struck her once across the face, Fortunato said. As she ran into her friend’s house, the two suspects allegedly got into her car and left.
