Ideal Gas Station robbed on Orleans Avenue

Four armed, unidentified men robbed the Ideal Gas Station in Bayou St. John, New Orleans Police said.

The men walked into the gas station on the 3300 block of Orleans Avenue with one shotgun and three handguns around 10:19 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

The suspects demanded money from the cash registers as they pointed their weapons at cashiers, police said. The cashier complied, emptying two registers. The suspects later fled on foot.

Innovation Barber Shop, five patrons robbed on Saturday night

Two armed men robbed the Innovative Barber Shop on South Claiborne Avenue Saturday night while costumers were still inside, New Orleans Police said.

The unidentified men entered the barber shop on the 3700 block of South Claiborne Avenue around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, demanding patrons to get on the floor, police said.

The five patrons complied as the two perpetrators took property from their pockets and fled, police said.

Man stabbed while waiting for Canal Street bus

A man was stabbed at a bus stop in the Central Business District shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday morning, according to New Orleans police.

The 58-year-old man was at the stop in the 600 block of Canal Street when a stranger approached him, brandishing a weapon.

The man stabbed him before fleeing the scene. Police didn’t say what kind of weapon was used.
