Two men were arrested in an attack on a pizza delivery driver on Bourbon Street Sunday, New Orleans police said.

The pizza delivery driver told police he was riding his bicycle in the 500 block of Bourbon Street around 1:40 a.m. Sunday when four men stopped him, the New Orleans Police Department said in a news release. The victim told police that the suspects asked him to purchase pizza by the slice. When the victim told the suspects he could not sell individual slices, they allegedly attacked him.

Police obtained video surveillance of the incident, which showed the suspects pulling the victim off his bicycle and attacking him. Witnesses told police that the suspects fled the scene after an onlooker attempted to break up the fight.

Around 3:45 a.m., an NOPD officer spotted the four suspects in the 600 block of Conti Street. Officers arrested Rashad Jermaine Hardy, 20, and Derrick Devante Pruitt, 21. They were each booked on second-degree battery.

The other two suspects escaped and remain at large, police said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 504-658-6080.
