Residents and businesses will experience low water pressure in a section of the Mid-City area on Saturday and in parts of Uptown on Monday.

Sewerage & Water Board crews will make repairs to a series of valves on water lines in the Mid-City area from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The affected streets are City Park Avenue from Allard Boulevard to North Carrollton Avenue; North Carrollton from Orleans Avenue to City Park Avenue; and Dumaine Street from North Carrollton Avenue to Taft Place.

Residents and businesses in parts of Uptown will experience low pressure from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday as Cajun Construction Co., working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Sewerage & Water Board, will cut and cap a water line that services the area.

This work is related to the SELA Drainage Canal Project.

The affected streets will be: Nashville Avenue from Pitt Street to Coliseum Street; Prytania Street from Nashville to Calhoun Street; Coliseum from Arabella Street to Calhoun; Arabella from Coliseum to Prytania; and State Street from Coliseum to Chestnut Street.
