New Orleans police are looking for a man who held up a 66-year-old woman in the Treme neighborhood Thursday.

Police said the victim was walking near North Villere Street and Ursulines Avenue about 9:40 a.m. when a man pulled out a gun and demanded her property. He then knocked her to the ground, stole her purse and fled in a car.

Police described the robber as a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, of medium to muscular build. He was wearing a white T-shirt with blue sleeves and dark pants and had a semi-automatic pistol.

They released a computer-generated composite sketch and asked anyone with information about him to call 1st District Detective Everett Briscoe at (504) 658-6010.
