Two men were injured in a shooting late Monday in the 1600 block of Gentilly Boulevard, New Orleans police said.

Around 10:11 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the area. Two men, ages 19 and 20, were reportedly walking in the area when an unknown man appeared from behind a house and allegedly started shooting, striking both victims, police said.

The victims were transported to an area hospital by private conveyance.
