A man was robbed at gunpoint in the French Quarter early Thursday morning, marking the second armed robbery in the French Quarter in the last two days.
Around 1:15 a.m., a 36-year-old man was near the intersection of Ursulines Avenue and Royal Street when he was approached by two men, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the victim’s face and demanded his belongings, NOPD said. The victim complied, and the suspects fled.
Early Wednesday, a 40-year-old man was walking in the 600 block of Dumaine Street when he was approached by two armed men who demanded his belongings.
