Robbers steal school clothes at gunpoint

Two men robbed a man and a woman of school clothes Saturday evening, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The incident happened about 7 p.m. in the 6100 block of Tullis Drive in Algiers.

The victims, a 54-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, told police they were approached by two armed men who demanded their shopping bags. After they took two bags of school clothes, the suspects fled.

Woman robbed Saturday in Carrollton

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in the Carrollton area, according to New Orleans police.

The incident happened about 12:45 p.m. at Cohn Street and Monroe Court.

The 38-year-old woman told police she was walking when a man approached her from behind and said “Give it up. Where’s the money?” The woman said the man was holding a chrome handgun and started to pat her down. She said she gave him an undisclosed sum of cash.

Man robbed Sunday afternoon in Marrero

A man was robbed at gunpoint in Marrero on Sunday, according to records from Jefferson Parish 911 headquarters.

The incident occurred about 5 p.m. at Constantine Drive and Rue Louis Philippe.

The victim was not injured.
