After suffering a medical episode that caused him to lose consciousness, a driver ran his vehicle into the front of the Broad and Banks Seafood Store in Mid-City shortly after 10 a.m. Friday, police said. No one inside the store was injured, but the driver and a passenger were transported to the hospital, according to officer Hilal Williams of the New Orleans Police Department.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Broad and Banks streets. Police say the 42-year-old driver lost consciousness before the crash, and was taken to the hospital where he appears to be in stable condition. A male passenger, 34, complained of injuries and also went to a nearby hospital. No other information is available, Williams said.
