David Shaw

David Shaw, of "The Revivalists," serenades a New Orleans airport terminal with Chuck Berry's "Run, Run, Rudolph."

Being stuck at a New Orleans airport on Christmas Eve isn't ideal, but a live rendition of "Run, Run Rudolph" can make the experience a bit more bearable.

That's what onlookers at one terminal at Louis Armstrong International Airport got on Christmas Eve, as David Shaw of popular New Orleans band The Revivalists took over the public address system.

Onlookers clapped to provide a beat as Shaw launched into the Christmas Classic, popularized by rocker Chuck Berry in 1958. Shaw's performance was posted to Facebook Sunday afternoon.

Shaw's 7-piece band formed in New Orleans in 2007, and had a national hit in 2016 with their song "Wish I Knew You."

For the second year in a row, The Revivalists are taking their show to the Orpheum Theater for the buildup to New Year's Eve. They'll perform on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 29-31), all starting at 9 p.m.
