Congressman Steve Scalise is cancelling a fundraiser with Jefferson Parish President Mike Yenni following reports of allegations that Yenni sent explicit texts to a teen last year, WWL-TV reported.

Scalise, R-La., was scheduled to appear at a fundraiser for Yenni at Drago's restaurant Oct. 27. The event was cancelled after allegations of Yenni sending sexually explicit texts to a 17-year-old boy were reported by WWL last week.

WWL reported that the FBI has been looking into the allegations. The news station was told that at least four people knew about the texts and the agency collected the teen's cellphone.
