The Sewerage & Water Board said numerous portions of the east bank of Orleans Parish, from Carrollton and Uptown to Mid-City, the Central Business District and New Orleans East, may experience low water pressure at times from 6 a.m. Monday through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday because of work on a new water line.

The board also issued these specific warnings of low pressure because of work on water lines, valves and hydrants:

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday along Lamanche Street from Urquhart Street to North Derbigny Street and along North Claiborne Avenue from Lamanche to Charbonnet Street in the Lower 9th Ward.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday along Leonidas Street from Zimpel Street to Oak Street and along Oak from Eagle Street to Joliet Street in Carrollton.

From 11:30 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday along Chartres Street from Canal Street to Conti Street and along Canal from Chartres to Decatur Street.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday along Birch Street from Monticello Avenue to Gen. Ogden Street and along Hollygrove Street from Birch to Cohn Street in Carrollton.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday along Olive Street from Cherry Street to Airline Highway in Hollygrove.

In addition, traffic along North Galvez Street between Clouet and Bartholomew streets in the Upper 9th Ward will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday because of repairs to sewer manholes.
