Coroner identifies two N.O. homicide victims
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified two men killed during recent shootings.
Ronald Celestine, 35, was shot about 4 p.m. Sept. 5 in the 2800 block of North Rocheblave Street in St. Roch, Coroner Jeffrey Rouse said.
Shaffee Dawson, 31, was shot about 11:35 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 2900 block of Dryades Street in Central City, Rouse said.
Both men died on the scene.
Police have not identified a suspect in either case.
Kenner woman killed after walking into traffic
A Kenner woman was killed after she ran into the path of an oncoming SUV on Monday night, police said.
Kenner police said Rachelle Guillory, 30, ran in front of a 2002 GMC Yukon as it traveled east in the 2500 block of Rev. Richard Wilson Drive about 8:20 p.m.
Guillory was knocked down and was rushed to Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans, where she was pronounced dead, said Sgt. Brian McGregor, a Kenner Police Department spokesman.
The 33-year-old Metairie man who hit Guillory was not injured.
Investigators do not suspect the man was impaired and he was not speeding, McGregor said.

Suspect arrested in CBD bank robbery
FBI agents have arrested a man suspected of robbing a Central Business District bank at knifepoint last week.
Derrick Morgan appeared before a federal magistrate judge Tuesday after New Orleans police turned him over to the FBI.
Police arrested Morgan on unrelated charges during the weekend, the FBI said. Details about that arrest were not immediately available.
Morgan is suspected of robbing Fidelity Homestead Savings Bank’s main branch at 321 St. Charles Ave. on Sept. 3.
Two arrested in robbery of convenience store
Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Metairie convenience store.
Wesley Ruffino, 20, of St. Bernard Parish, and Adley Campbell, 35, of Meraux, both allegedly confessed to participating in the robbery, which happened about 6 p.m. Sunday at the Shell station at 330 Veterans Blvd.
Ruffino was booked with simple robbery. Campbell was booked with simple robbery and an outstanding warrant, according to Jefferson Parish jail records.
Robber knocks off parts store three times
Three times in recent weeks, the same man has robbed a Central City auto parts store at gunpoint, police said.
The man first robbed the Advance Auto Parts at 2631 South Claiborne Ave. about 3 p.m. Aug. 17. He demanded the cashier open the register and stuffed the money he got in his pockets.
He next robbed the store about 2 p.m. Aug. 30.
He ordered two customers to the ground and told employees to open the registers and safe, again stashing the cash in his pockets as he ran away.
The third robbery happened about 5 p.m. Monday. The man ordered one customer to the ground but this time put the money from the register and safe into a bag.
In all three robberies, the man was armed with a handgun and wore gloves, with a black or blue bandana covering his face.

N.O. police investigate two armed robberies
New Orleans police are investigating the following armed robberies:
11:43 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Laharpe Street: A man walked up to three men, ages 57, 32 and 29, and demanded their cellphones and money.
4:51 p.m. Monday in the 2600 block of South Claiborne Avenue: A man walked into a business, took an unknown amount of cash from the register and ran away.
Man burglarizes home in Lower Garden District
A man forced his way into a Lower Garden District home at gunpoint late Monday night and burglarized it, New Orleans police said.
The incident happened about 10:40 p.m. in the 800 block of St. Andrew Street.
The burglar demanded property from the 68-year-old victim, then ran away.
