A house in Lakeview that was in the process of being raised partially collapsed late Thursday morning, sending several people to the hospital, authorities said.

No one was trapped by collapse, said Capt. Ed Holmes, a New Orleans Fire Department spokesman. However, paramedics did take five people to the hospital, said Liz Belcher, a spokeswoman for New Orleans EMS. None of the injures were serious, she said.

The house, near the corner of Mound and Catina streets, collapsed about 11:30 a.m., Holmes said. The city’s safety and permits department is investigating, he said.
