Jefferson Parish is poised to begin $58.9 million in road-repair projects, funded primarily by bonds issued after voters renewed a 7/8-cent sales tax a year ago.

The tax is also funding $41.9 million in sewer projects that are lined up for completion by 2019. That work — 10 projects in West Jefferson and nine in East Jefferson — includes new and repaired lift stations, generators and pump stations.
