Shortly before 8 p.m. Friday, an armed man entered a gas station at 3501 Gen. Meyer Ave. in Algiers as a cashier was counting money.

The gunman demanded the money; the cashier gave it to him. The cashier then left the store as ordered by the armed man.

About 9 p.m. Friday, a pizza deliveryman, 68, was robbed of his pizza and money by two men, one of whom stuck a gun in his face, in the 3700 block of Pittari Place in Algiers.

About 10 p.m. Friday, a man, 31, and a woman, 30, were robbed by an armed man who pointed his gun at them as they were walking in the 5000 block of Prytania Street in Uptown.

The gunman demanded that the man empty his pockets and took the contents, along with the woman’s purse.

A few minutes later, a 30-year-old woman was approached at Gen. Pershing and Perrier streets Uptown by a man with a shotgun demanding her purse. The victim complied, and the robber fled on a bicycle.

About 4 a.m. Saturday, a man, 26, met someone at a nightclub. After “hanging out” together, police said, the second man, who had a gun, struck the victim in the head and took his money in the 900 block of St. Louis Street in the French Quarter.
