Construction will cause low water pressure in part of the Lower 9th Ward on Wednesday and on part of North Rampart Street on Thursday night, the Sewerage & Water Board said.

Residents and businesses in part of the Lower 9th Ward will experience low pressure from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, as Command Construction Co. ties in a new water line serving the area.

The affected areas will be along North Galvez Street from Forstall Street to Andry Street, along Lizardi Street from North Derbigny Street to North Tonti Avenue and along Forstall Street from North Galvez Street to North Dorgenois Street.

There will be low water pressure along North Rampart between St. Philip Street and St. Peter Street from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday because of work on the North Rampart streetcar project.
