Separate shootings Tuesday in New Orleans left two men and one woman dead and sent a third man to the hospital.

The first shooting was reported about 1:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Edith Weston Place in the Desire neighborhood.

Officers responding to a report of gunfire found three men inside a red Jaguar. Two were pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiple times.

Their identities and ages were not immediately released.

Another occupant of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, was shot in the leg. He was taken to a hospital, but his wound was not serious, police said.

The third victim was found about 11 a.m. under the Interstate 10 high-rise near France Road and Almonaster Avenue.

Police said a passerby spotted the victim, who was found to have been shot.

It was not immediately clear how long the woman had been dead, nor was it clear if she was killed there or if her body was dumped at that location, police said.

Her name and age were not immediately available.

Police did not identify a suspect or motive in either case.
