Four women were robbed at gunpoint in two incidents overnight Sunday in New Orleans.

The first robbery occurred around 11 p.m. near the intersection of Barracks and Dauphine streets in the French Quarter.

According to New Orleans police, a 33-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were approached by an armed man demanding property. The man fled with $60, a purse and a wallet.

The second robbery occurred just after 4 a.m. in the 800 block of South Peters Street near the convention center.

NOPD said two women, 25 and 30, were approached by a man with silver handgun. He demanded their purses and fled.
