The New Orleans Cat Art & Film Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Kingsley House, 1600 Constance St., New Orleans.

This full-on feline extravaganza will feature multiple artists interpreting the feline form, feline-themed jewelry, event swag (including cat-ear headbands), food, music, kids activities, raffles and feline workshops. Funny Internet cat videos compiled by the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis will be shown at 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. YouTube stars Paul Klausman and TJ Wingard, of “An Engineer’s Guide to Cats,” will be on hand for photo opportunities and autographs. The event is sponsored by Art for Cat’s Sake, SpayMart and the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

“Last year’s event was a huge success, and we’re hoping for an even larger turnout this year. We spend our time attending to the health and well-being of our feline companions and getting to celebrate all things cat for a good cause, with laughter and friends as a highlight,” said festival creator Karen Miller-Becnel, founder of Art for Cat’s Sake.

Tickets are $12 online at no caaff.brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door; children younger than 12 enter free.
