Fire officials are monitoring a marsh fire in eastern New Orleans. The marsh fire has been burning since Friday, according to the New Orleans Fire Department.

The NOFD said the fire has intensified, causing a light haze of smoke on Highway 11 between the levee and the merger for Interstate 10. The fire is 1 and a half miles south of I-10 between Irish Bayou and Lake Pontchartrain on private land.
