Three men are being sought on first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured another early Tuesday morning in Marrero.
Jefferson Parish sheriff’s investigators believe Kevin Hicks, 25, and Kevias Hicks, 22, both of New Orleans, and Tommie “Tucker” Molette, 21, of Marrero are responsible for killing 20-year-old Deshon Evans and wounding a 19-year-old man, said Col. John Fortunato, a sheriff’s office spokesman.
Evans and the 19-year-old man were shot inside Evans’ home in the 5900 block of Becker Street about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. Evans ran outside, where he collapsed and died. The 19-year-old man was treated at Interim LSU Public Hospital in New Orleans.
Homicide detectives, along with members of a U.S. Marshals task force, could not find the suspects after searching several locations throughout the metro area, Fortunato said.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office homicide division at (504) 364-5300 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
