Krewe du Vieux: Take a walk on the wild side as Krewe du Vieux roams the streets of the Faubourg Marigny, the French Quarter and the CBD for its irreverent look at life and times.
6:30 p.m.: Parade begins at Royal Street and Franklin Avenue, heads through the French Quarter and ends at the ball.
9 p.m.: Ball at Civic Theatre, 510 O’Keefe Ave.
$40 for the ball.
The Krewe of Perseus: Slidell’s oldest Carnival organization rolls on its traditional north shore route under the theme “Imaginary Places.” The street pageant rolls from Salmen High School and ends at Rouses on Gause Boulevard, taking about three to four hours.
1 p.m., Pontchartrain Drive, Front Street and Gause Boulevard.
The Krewe of Little Rascals: Metairie kicks off its Carnival calendar with a krewe of young people, rolling along Veterans Memorial Boulevard with a look back at their 32 years of parading with more than 85 units.
Noon: Begins at Clearview Shopping Center, proceeding down Veterans Memorial Boulevard to Martin Behrman Avenue.
