New Orleans police are looking for two men in connection with a burglary early Wednesday at Melvin’s Bar in Faubourg Marigny.
About 3:45 a.m., the men entered the closed business in the 2100 block of St. Claude Avenue through a rear door, police said. Once inside, they stole four safes containing more than $10,000 before fleeing on foot.
The suspects were caught on surveillance cameras.

Man injured in Harvey cutting incident
A man suffered minor injuries late Saturday night after being cut in Harvey, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened in the 1200 block of Angus Drive, the Sheriff’s Office 911 headquarters reported.
Man wanted in shoplifting shoes
New Orleans police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a man wanted for shoplifting Jan. 28 at Prima Donna Closet and Lagniappe, 927 Royal St.
The man entered the store about 2:20 p.m. and walked to the front display window. He picked up a pair of burgundy Tory Burch shoes, concealed them underneath his clothing and walked out of the store without paying for them.

Man pleads guilty in federal cocaine case
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Thursday that 47-year-old Dwyane A. Tillman, of New Orleans, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine hydrochloride.
Prosecutors said Tillman was arrested after police caught him at an Amtrak station in Schriever with cocaine in his duffel bag.
The charge carries a possible 40-year prison sentence.
Sentencing was set for May 13.
