DELGADO ADULT EDUCATION: Registration will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 3, for the Adult Education Program at Delgado Community College. Registration will take place in Room 108 of Building Two at Delgado’s City Park Campus.

This free program serves adults 16 and older who want to earn high school equivalency or prepare for various college and career pathways by improving their skills in reading, writing, math, social studies, science, critical thinking and computer literacy. All students are placed into structured classes with curriculum designed around the skill level and academic goals of each individual student.

With morning, afternoon, and evening classes offered at six locations—City Park, the West Bank, Jefferson (Metairie), Slidell, Sidney Collier (Gentilly) and Mid-City—most students are able to find a full- or part-time schedule that is convenient and accessible. A co-enrollment program allows students to take college classes while finishing earning their high school equivalency diploma.

The registration process will take 30 to 60 minutes to complete, and students will receive information on when to return for placement testing and orientation. Program faculty and staff will be available to answer questions and advise students throughout the registration and scheduling process. For information, visit
