Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans chooses new president _lowres

Larry Washington will become president of Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans Inc. on Aug. 24, succeeding Jack Brancewicz, who is retiring after more than 15 years. Washington has more than 10 years of nonprofit management experience from his work at Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, as well as at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston.

At Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, he oversaw program delivery to nearly 80,000 students in more than 20 school districts.

As the Fort Bend County director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Washington managed a three-club, countywide operation.

Washington is a graduate of the University of Houston and the Penn State Executive Management Program.
