The Sewerage & Water Board announced construction will cause low water pressure in parts of New Orleans:
Customers on North Galvez Street between Andry and Charbonnet streets will experience low pressure from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday as workers install a water main.
Customers on Burdette Street from Earhart Boulevard to Colapissa Street will experience low pressure from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday as a new fire service is installed.
Residents and businesses on several streets in the Lafitte area will experience low water pressure Monday in two phases as crews install a new water main. From noon to 4 p.m., customers on North Johnson Street from Orleans Avenue to Magic Street will be affected. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., customers on Magic Street between North Johnson and North Galvez streets will be affected.
Residents and businesses on Desire Street from Higgins Boulevard to Chickasaw Street will experience low pressure from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday as workers tie in a new water main.
Residents and businesses in the Uptown area, French Quarter, Central Business District and Warehouse District will experience low water pressure from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 4 a.m. Wednesday as crews make repairs to a large water main.
Customers near Chartres and Canal streets will experience low pressure from 11 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday as workers tie in a new water main. The affected streets will be Chartres Street between Canal and Conti streets and Canal Street between Chartres and Decatur streets.
