The Pebbles Center at the Children’s Resource Center Library, 913 Napoleon Ave., will hold a bilingual Spanish and English storytime for children ages 4 through 8 beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. The theme of the bilingual storytime is Christmas in Summer/La Navidad en el Verano, featuring the book “ ‘Twas Nochebuena.” Following storytime, children can enjoy a related craft project.
Throughout August, the Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Drive, is showcasing the work of artist Mecca. Malika “Mecca” Burke is a Guyanese-born artist who moved to New Orleans in 2009 and now works as a tattoo artist and painter.
The Algiers Regional Library Photography Club will hold its monthly meeting from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday. The Photography Club is open to photographers of all skill levels with any camera type. Through participation in optional monthly photo assignments, members find inspiration from other photographers while learning more about the photographic arts. The Photography Club meets on the second Monday of every month.
Children ages 9-13 can learn about computers and coding from members of Tech Talent South at 4 p.m. every Tuesday through Sept. 8 at the Keller Library and Community Center, 4300 S. Broad St. To register, call the Keller Library and Community Center at (504) 596-2660.
