Authorities have arrested three suspects in a Tuesday night carjacking in the Lower Garden District.

Police said a 23-year-old man was sitting in his parked vehicle about 10:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of St. Thomas Street when one of the suspects approached him, pulled out a gun and demanded he get out.

State Police spotted the stolen vehicle and followed it to Pleasure and Republic streets, where it crashed. Four suspects fled the vehicle; all but one were quickly taken into custody.

Randi Porter, 17; Devin Thornsberry, 19; and a 14-year-old boy were booked on various counts. Police said Porter conducted the carjacking and also was booked with armed robbery.

Detectives were still working to identify the fourth suspect.
