At the end-of-year sports awards banquet at St. Mary’s Dominican High School, Sadie Hebert, of Metairie, received the Dominicanite Award, presented to the senior who has participated in the most athletic teams throughout her Dominican career.

Madeleine Bogart, of River Ridge, received the Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award. This award is presented to the outstanding senior in athletics, leadership and academic excellence.

Bogart also received the Scholastic Award, presented to the senior who has participated in at least two varsity sports each year and has the highest cumulative GPA.

Gabrielle Sperber, of Slidell, received The Lolita Fernandez de la Reguera Pittman Award, presented to the varsity athlete who exhibits great athletic ability, strong character and a positive attitude. This award is voted on by the entire coaching staff of Dominican High School.

The 2015-16 Lou Reilly Memorial Awards for Spring Sports were presented to athletes who continually try to improve their skills and who have listened to their coaches and teammates. Recipients were: Allison Alario, varsity softball; Cera Blanchard, eighth-grade softball; Isabella Brocato, junior varsity softball; Gabby Edmundson, golf; Tori Sutherland, tennis; and Elizabeth Thomson, track and field.
