Police are looking for two men accused of sexually assaulting a woman last week in New Orleans East.
The rape took place May 4 in the 5400 block of Crowder Boulevard, authorities said. A 37-year-old woman was walking about 3:30 a.m. when one of the men accosted her, demanded money at gunpoint and forced her into a vehicle.
The woman then was taken to an unknown location and raped, police said.
Authorities described the gunman as a black man with a dark complexion, about 20 years old. He is about 6-foot-1, 165 pounds with an athletic build, a “low haircut,” clean-shaven and with a tattoo of a star and cross on the right side of his face. He also has a tattoo saying “Taqueria” on his back.
A second man, who had been waiting inside the vehicle, was described as a black man with a medium complexion, about 25 to 30 years old. He is about 5-foot-7 with a thin build and an “afro hairstyle,” police said.
