Suspect sought in multiple Algiers car burglaries _lowres

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Gary F. Kelly., in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries in the Algiers area.

Based on DNA evidence left on the scenes, detectives were able to link Kelly to the following incidents:

On Thursday, April 2, 2015, at or around 12:43 a.m., a black Toyota Tundra was burglarized in the 5600 block of Lacour Monique Street. Detectives learned that over $1600 in cash was stolen from inside of the vehicle.

On Sunday, April 12, 2015, around 1:30 a.m., a gray Nissan Altima was stolen from a driveway in the 3800 block of South Pin Oak Avenue. The vehicle was later recovered in the near the intersection of Patterson and Thomas Street.

Detectives believe that Kelly is responsible for other robberies in the area.

Once apprehended, Kelly will be booked with multiple counts of Auto Burglary.
