A 21-year-old man has been arrested and accused of raping a child four years ago.

According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, Jason Robert Landry, 21, of Loranger, allegedly raped the victim, now 12, at a residence in Venice.

An investigation has uncovered that Landry fondled the victim multiple times and made the victim perform sex acts on him, Sheriff Lonnie Greco said. He said Landry admitted to committing sexual acts on the victim.

Greco said it’s possible there are more victims.

The victim reported the allegations to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office on June 23. Landry was arrested June 28 by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked as a fugitive from Plaquemines Parish.

He remains at the PPSO Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
