The second annual Lakefront Lighthouse Stroll to benefit the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8. The event will be a half-mile and 2-mile run/walk along Lake Pontchartrain beginning and ending at the New Canal Lighthouse Museum and Education Center at 8001 Lakeshore Drive.

All registrants will receive a T-shirt and a tour of the Museum. The 610 Stompers will provide the pre-race warm-up and entertainment.

The post-race party will take place at the lighthouse and will immediately follow the races. The party will feature food, drinks, children’s educational activities and entertainment by The Prescriptions.

Awards will be given to the top 100 male and female finishers in the 2-mile run and top 50 male and female in the half-mile race.

Event day registration and package pickup is at 5:30 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. start for the half-mile run/walk; and a 6:50 p.m. start of the 2-mile run and walk.
